Purpose of the Professional Portfolio
  • Serve as an indicator of equivalency to the Bachelor’s degree, and allow some latitude for institutions/programs in hiring experienced Montessori instructors and field supervisors.
  • Utilize the strength of a variety of work/study experiences to support the mission/goals/objectives of Montessori teacher education institutions/programs.
  • Ensure that a variety of skill/work-related tasks relating to personal growth and development are included as experiences (as opposed to repetition of the same tasks over a number of years).
