- State a rationale for accreditation of the additional certification course level. Be specific with regard to any of the following as they pertain to this level. For example, what effect does this addition have on young students in the classroom and on the preparation of the intern? What are the affects on your program/school?
- Support the above with quantitative and/or qualitative data related to school/classroom leadership skills, e.g. surveys, comparisons, or observation reports of classroom practices.
- Provide syllabi with detailed calendars, academic contact hours, coursework and practicum experiences.
- Show evidence of how the certification course meets MACTE competencies. In the case of new academic levels which do not have established MACTE competencies, include recommendations for the MACTE Commission to consider.
- The proposed model for certification must have been implemented for a minimum of three years with annual data to support its progress before the Commission will be able to assess its viability for inclusion as a new course level
